I like this walk. It's not the most popular walk in the park, which means you will probably have the track to yourself. It has an amazing array of flowers. I decided to walk this trail during the late afternoon.
The Salvation Loop Trail has two entries. There is a car park between both on the other side of the road. Park here and walk to either entry of the Salvation Loop Trail. I walked right to the north trailhead.
Follow the Salvation Loop Trail around. You will see some great flowers here as well as great birdlife.
You will soon see a T intersection that heads west (290º). This is the start of the Wallaroo Track. Follow this trail. You will encounter a few rock formations along the way.
Eventually, you will be greeted by the Yeomans Branch Track. Skip this trail for now and proceed right along the Wallaroo Trail (320º). Walking along here it was hard to not notice the number of bees around as well as the sheer amount of wildflowers.
At the end of the trail, you will be greeted with views of Cowan Creek and Refuge Bay. There are also rocky outcrops and a rock shelf, perfect for lunch.
Once I was done I backtracked to the Yeomans Branch Track trailhead. This is a pretty overgrown path that goes through open woodland.
Following the trail, you will soon be greeted by another great lunch spot with views of Cowan Creek. Along the way, I was lucky enough to spot an echidna near the trail.
Once your done, retrace your steps back to the Salvation Loop Trail and take the opposite trail to complete the Salvation Loop Trail back to the road and carpark.
